SANTA ROSA POLICE ARREST CHILD PORNOGRAPHY, MOLESTATION SUSPECT

Police have identified the suspect as Joseph T. Nieder, and they report that he has been booked into Sonoma County jail. Officer Mike Tosti responded to Shutterbug Photography at 3011 Santa Rosa Ave. on report of photos dropped off for development that appeared to show nude girls in sexually graphic scenarios. Through the course of an investigation, police officials said they determined that the suspect allegedly forced the girls to be photographed, and has allegedly been 'significantly involved in child pornography.

Santa Rosa police announced today that they have arrested a 40-year-old Petaluma man on suspicion of showing harmful matter to a juvenile and using a minor for a sexual act.


On Feb. 16, Officer Mike Tosti responded to Shutterbug Photography at 3011 Santa Rosa Ave. on report of photos dropped off for development that appeared to show nude girls in sexually graphic scenarios.


The suspect who left the film also left his name and phone number. Detectives contacted him, and he came in voluntarily to be interviewed. Police report that the suspect denied taking the pictures, but was able to identify the 13- and 14-year-old girls in the photos.


Through the course of an investigation, police officials said they determined that the suspect allegedly forced the girls to be photographed, and has allegedly been "significantly involved in child pornography."


The suspect also allegedly molested both girls in various locations and threatened them not to tell anyone about it.


Police have identified the suspect as Joseph T. Nieder, and they report that he has been booked into Sonoma County jail.
