A brixham care worker who downloaded child pornography and shared the pictures with other paedophiles has been jailed for 12 months.Exeter Crown Court heard police, acting on a tip off, raided Mark Lewis' home and found a total of nearly 3,000 images and movie clips on his computer and discs.
Prosecutor Chris Bennett said police received information leading them to understand someone was using the internet to access child pornography sites from Lewis' address and they raided the property.
When the equipment seized was analysed, it showed a total of 2,935 images and movie clips covering all five categories of seriousness.
Lewis admitted he had downloaded the images and he had shared them with other people, although not for financial gain.
