A Melbourne man charged with child sex and pornography
offences may have more young female victims, police believe.
A 30-year-old man, from Pakenham, was last week charged with 12
offences including sexual penetration with a child under 16 and
make and possess child pornography dating as far back as 2004.
Police are now appealing for young females who may have been
victims of sexual assault in the Pakenham, Narre Warren and
Wangaratta areas to come forward.
"Police allege the man uses internet chat rooms to establish a
relationship with young girls," a Victoria Police spokesman
said.
The man allegedly gains the girls' trust, meets them and
allegedly takes photographs of them removing their clothes before
having sex, police said.
His seized computer allegedly contained images of child
pornography downloaded from the internet, and pornographic images
of him using webcams in the victims' bedrooms, police said.
