How to Report a Crime Against Children

More and more frequently I am getting emailed and asked, How do you report a crime against a child on the Internet? You can use the information below to report a crime against any child, an internet crime against children, abuse, or any incident concerning child pornography on the Internet.

You can make a report to the CyberTipline at http://www.cybertipline.com. The CyberTipline is maintained by the Center for Missing and Exploited Children. You can also call this number 1-800-843-5678.

The information will be immediately entered into their database and assigned to an analyst. The FBI is also involved in this process and will get involved if it falls under their jurisdiction. Or, they will source the problem to an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit or a local Internet crimes unit.

You can also look on the "Links" page on the Blog for additional points of contact.
