A Jacksonville man faces the maximum sentence after pleading guilty to a charge of interstate transportation of child pornography.
Kevin Patrick Boody, 41, a resident of Jacksonville, is currently in custody after being indicted by a federal grand jury in 2007.
The Florida Attorney General's Office says Boody admitted he had sent images of child pornography to other individuals, including an undercover FBI agent, over the Internet.
Boody also says that he had been downloading child pornography since the early 1990s.
A search of his computers and other electronic storage media conducted by the FBI revealed Boody had downloaded and collected over 9,000 images and nearly 200 videos depicting child pornography.
Court documents show Boody was convicted of sexual abuse of a minor in Maine in 2000.
