Charges have been filed against a Hanover man by the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Child Predator Unit for allegedly contacting an agent posing as a 14-year-old girl and sharing sexually explicit material.

Kevin Michael Cool, 25, of 219 South St., Hanover, was charged Tuesday with unlawful contact with a minor, and criminal use of a communication facility.

An arraignment was held in front of Magisterial District Judge Daniel S. Bowman Tuesday and bail was set at $75,000. A preliminary hearing has been set for 11 a.m. April 17 at Bowman's office.

According to court documents, a Child Predator Unit agent was undercover online Nov. 19, posing as a 14-year-old girl on the site www.teenchat.com. The agent received a note from another user, allegedly Cool. In the message, Cool, posing as a female, said she lived in Hanover, and invited the agent to an online chat at MSN, and gave a Windows Live Messenger screen name of lesbian_5890.
