A Detroit-area man pleaded guilty Monday to federal child
pornography charges and will also plead guilty to a state
charge of murder in the 1990 death of his first wife,
attorneys said.

Federal prosecutors and lawyers for Roger Sweet told U.S.
District Judge Victoria Roberts that the deal is meant to
resolve all the charges against the resident of Wayne
County's Brownstown Township.

Sweet, 58, pleaded guilty to four counts of producing child
pornography and one count of attempted receipt of child
pornography. He faces between 210 and 262 months in prison
when he is sentenced Aug. 4, U.S. Attorney Stephen Murphy said.

Sweet also is to plead guilty to second-degree murder
Sweet photographed the 16-year-old, who is developmentally
disabled, to produce the pornography
Sweet's second wife, Lizzie Mae Collier-Sweet,
disappeared in January of 2007 and remains missing
