A city man charged with possessing child pornography must stay away from his mother's home day-care center in Rome whenever it is in operation, officials with the state Office of Children and Family Services said Monday. The restriction was issued against Denise Pawlak's family day-care facility at 107 Whittier Ave. Friday after Pawlak's son, 27-year-old Edmund Pawlak, was charged last week with felony possession of a sexual performance by a child.
Edmund Pawlak was arrested after investigators with the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center confiscated multiple images of child pornography and more than 200 computer-related items located inside the registered home day-care facility, authorities said.
“The allegation at this time is that he only possessed it, but further charges are possible - very possible,”
