Teacher Gregg Woodward ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation

A Foxboro High School teacher charged with buying child pornography online was ordered this morning to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Timothy Hillman ordered Gregg Woodward temporarily released, conditional on immediately seeking admission to the psychiatric unit at St. Vincent's Hospital in Worcester or another hospital, said Christina DiIorio-Sterling, spokeswoman for U.S. Attorney Michael Sullivan.
Woodward must immediately surrender to U.S. marshals upon his release from the hospital, or if no hospitals admit him, Hillman ruled in U.S. District Court in Boston.
Woodward, 44, of Milford was arrested Monday and charged in federal court with possession of child pornography following an FBI investigation.
Woodward has been suspended without pay from Foxboro High School, where he is in his 12th year. He has taught English, and has served as an adviser to the National High Society.
