Police are sounding an alarm Thursday over a sexually violent offender who has been unaccounted for since he was evicted last month from a Colorado Springs motel.
John Elmer Metrose, 33, was evicted March 21 from his registered address at the Roadway Inn, 1623 S. Nevada Ave.
His criminal history includes two felony convictions in New York for sexual abuse in the first degree as well as failure to register as a sex offender; aggravated motor vehicle theft; and felony child endangerment.
He has not contacted authorities with a new address, as required by state law.
Metrose is 6 feet tall and 210 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Colorado Springs police at 444-7000. Callers wishing to remain anonymous may contact Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP and could earn a cash reward.
