An ACT police officer has been charged with child pornography offences and will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning.
The 38-year-old man was arrested on Friday after computer equipment allegedly containing images of child pornography was seized from his Belconnen home.
A POLICE officer has pleaded guilty to two child pornography charges after material was found on his home computer.
The 38-year-old, who has been suspended from duty, pleaded guilty in ACT Magistrates Court today to using a carriage service to access child pornography and possession of child pornography.
The man's name was suppressed by Magistrate John Burns after crown prosecutor Duncan Berents said making it public could jeopardise an ongoing investigation by the Australian Federal Police.
Computer equipment containing images of child pornography was seized.
